I'm surprised that this car did so well considering it was a convertible. Does anybody have any stats on it?
I put interior in that car also,I can tell what i know.Carburated small block,DSE front subframe,DSE rear,700r auto.It has a roll bar in it so its been tied side to side.It was built with the autocross in mind.Roger has raced motorcross for years so he isn't afraid of speed

I will post the top five finalists this afternoon. Stay tuned
Funny how no one talks about the fact that Troy's Nova casually rolled in to do the autocross at exactly 2pm without ever having to show or stage with the other participants.

How come a Goodguys employee is commenting on this car and its times but no one elses? Doesn't seem fair to me.

Thought I'd let you guys in on the first round of post on our site covering the event. There will be more coming - I'm posting stuff from the show and hotel of an evening. I think it will be easy to see, this event is rockin' and the addition of requiring the SMOTY contenders to run at least 3 laps on the Street Challenge Autocross was just too awesome... enjoy the photos and look for videos to be added soon:

Hi Carrie. Thank you for at least signing your name to your post. Let me answer your question correctly. The official contest rules for SMOY state that the cars had to be parked in the Pro's Pick Friday and Saturday. The car in question went over there and parked in the Pro's Pick after the Autocross Friday and was parked in the PP again today. It also made it's required three laps in the Autocross so it fits eligibility just like the others.

I just found out today about the technical difficulties with the car's transmission and with a 12-page thread on this board about that particular car I thought it would relevant to post why it was so slow in the Autocross.

That's about it.
