Default DSE tour

I thought that I would take the time and share my field trip with all of you.

I had some friends come in from out of town for the big car show and swap meet last weekend, and as a side trip, we went up to DSE.

The sad thing is DSE is only about an hour from my house as I live in south Charlotte and they are in Mooresville and I have never made the time to get up there. Stacey was sick and Kyle was chasing down some parts so we had our personal tour directed by Linsey. ( I am sure that I am butchering the spelling of everyone's name) Linsey works the front desk and handles a lot of the incoming calls. Her customer service skills and product knowledge are very impressive.

She took us out to the shop and let us poke around some of the cars that were being worked on. I saw SW's black beast getting the final touches before the car was to be picked up. What a great car to see in person...I got a little something on the quarter, but I am sure that a rag will take it off. (that would be drool for all of you with their mind in the gutter) You really cannot fully appreciate a 335 tire until you see it in person. I thought my 285's were cool...I guess size does matter.

There was also a yellow 69 sans motor and trans, but I do not recall the owners name. Very nice looking car, I believe it had a Martz front end..anyway this thing is going to be spectacular when completed. All of the paint work is done and it is together. Just needs running gear and interior. I also saw a 68 convert and 69 coupe in primer.

Their 4 link set up is slick and wish it had been out 10 months ago so I could have put it on my car. I did see a couple of cars getting it installed and it looks like an easy install.

All in all we had a blast. As mentioned here before, the shop is a neat as a pin and you can tell as soon as you walk in the door it is a first class operation. Kyle should be happy to know that his employees take as much pride in the place as he does and his shop makes that kind of imprression without he or Stacey being there.
