Art morrison was great to work with. Steve webb and my self went back and forth on making a new chassis for my camaro it took about two weeks of measuring and phone calls to get the design done. I placed the order with morrison and was told that I should receive the chassis in about 3-4 weeks It showed up in less than three weeks. The chassis was a perfect fit. Two months after the getting the frame Steve called and asked how everything went together, I would highly recommend art morrison to anyone based on my experience.

Ron davis radiator

I like the grading system other people need to know the bad as of the good.

Default This is good dialogue...

We all need to remember, even though we meet people here and call them friends, this is the internet! People hide behind personas all the time/say things they would never have the balls to say in the real world and I would not like to see a community supported site like this deteriorate into a vendor bitch forum.

I do have a suggestion: recently there was a thread about a motor shop in PHX taking people's hard earned money and not building or delivering their engines. This post lead to other forums and threads with the same story of other's similar misfurtune. One guy replied and said, "I go racing all the time. Have for 20 years. I have never seen (said shop's) motors being run at the track. No one uses them." This got me to thinking, if we show up at Street Car events, speak with people we meet here and find out what a great job reputable shops had done for them, we'd know. Good old word of mouth, supporting vendors that particpate here.

I dont think this is a good Idea for the the Forum this could get ugly quick with he said she said type stuff and the next thing you know vendors are gone and we have a site to surf anymore. I will not be be posting on here good or bad if you want to know about a company I would PM you first. I get that people want to tell other about good service but I dont want to hear about how somebody is pissed becasue its taking an extra month to get a part or it arrived damaged these things happen. Take it up with the guy you bought it from. No need to put people on blast for this. Just my .02 off soap box

I have had customers drop cars off and bitch about company's on this site and other sites,They did this or they did that so they pulled there car out of that shop and had someone else finish it, now that guy is getting more cars built by the new place and seams to be happy, sometimes people just don't get along.Everybody has had problems with something or someone.People who talk crap most of the time won't man up and say it to there face or try and work out the issue,Back to the same story there is 3 sides to every story and both people think there right and this is not the place for it happen. If there is a problem call them and see what can be done,Don't just start talking trash and posting.I have ordered parts before and was told they were on there way, two weeks later they showed up.When I called and asked what was up I was told that the person I talked to did not check inventory to be able to back up that promise, now when I call I ask them to check stock.Problem solved. This site is fun to be part of and hope it stays this way, not a haters site for every issue and problem that happens.

I agree, I like Pro-touring.com but it gets a little to negative for me at times. Its been known to suck me in and I can honestly say my personality tends to be different over there. Not quite as much now that I have met most of the good guys. They have a couple moderators that like to fuel the fire which doesn't help. I'd keep this place casual and positive. I wouldn't want the liability of a rating system either. Well Lateral-g rated joe blow restoration shop at a 4.5 but they milked me for 25k. NO thanks. So Scott?

Why not keep the thread geared toward recognizing the people that provide GOOD services!
If a person or business mentioned they're probably safe to work with. If not i suggest doing more homework on that person or business.

Default I can only imagine

How many of us are ready to pull the bus out and start throwing people under it? It's a bad idea - it would make coming to this forum rather stressful for a great many vendors and consumers.

I have had good transactions and poor ones - but no one wants to read about my dirty laundry, and I don't want to read about anyone else's either.

again... BAD IDEA

Just search the open disscussion you will find plenty of threads that praise companies that come though for customers

There are a lot of good ideas here.

It might be a good idea that if you have had a positive experience with a company that someone ask about mention it, or mention it even if it was a good experience for you.

Then if someone is asking about a company that you have had a issue with, just PM the person the information. At least at this point it can be helpful for people, and anyone that would like a reference can still get one.

If someone ask about a company and no one says anything, that is probably all that needs to be said. (or Un-Said)

That would keep personal grudges off the this thread, and positive things where deserved on the thread.

Thoughts?

I really like references, and/or warning if a Vender is no good. It would have saved me a ton of money about 5 years ago if I could have gotten ANY feedback from anyone. Instead, I walked into a mess that left my wallet bleeding.
