I believe that was Mr. Platt and he ended up with the bus.

If its any consolation, I went to Vegas one time in a 100,000.00 car and came home in a 500,000.00 bus.

If there was a problem with the bidding, what did the bus really sell for.
I'd be furious also if I was bidding against myself. With all the people inside the tent I'm sure it must happen often. It must get confusing in there.

The bus went for 4,000,000 rather than 4,100,000 that was originally announced.

If you'd get furious bidding against yourself you better stay away from auctions..you're probably being shilled by the auctioneer, or bid up by the owner or a friend over half the time..except at Barrett..you see them backing a bid down blaming it on something..usually just bid it too fast and got it off the money..

Seriously, he has had it a long time, I saw it at the Flamingo in Vegas last year. I am sure he is happy with the results.
Bill don't you know Mark Kirkendall..he's the guy that owned the Elvis limo..I don't think he was disappointed but he sure wasn't elated. The Buick of Howard Hughes sold for over a million and I thought the Lincoln should do more..It had the air filtration that Hughes Buick had..plus it was much nicer and I think Elvis is bigger than ol Howard..Mark also had his brief case and watch..I told him to snatch his wig hat off his head and throw it on the floor and toss it in saying it was Elvis'es. Mark also owns a Jet Star that belonged to Elvis. Howard Hughes was the biggest tax payer in Cobb County here in Georgia for years..he had 2 new Jet stars hangared at Lockheed..sat there for 20 years or so..eating up cash like crazy..now you can't even fly them due to fuel cost and noise levels..

The Hughes car sold last year. Yeah, Mark is a local boy, but a national player in the market for sure, has a bunch at Floyd's place and deals in some NICE cars. I like the lightweight Pontiac he has/had.
