Hey guys, haven't gotten squat done lately but have been stocking up on some parts. I ordered upper/lower Speedtech arms and Ridetech single adjustable shocks from Mike at muscle rodz. Also got my Magnum from American powertrain. I hope to get the back end primed this week and get started welding.

Well not much progress lately but I'm finally getting back on my project. I have a question for you body guys out there. I'm fitting new quarters and I can't seem to get any door gap, every thing else seems to fit pretty well. The gap around the doors are pretty even just not wide enough. So my question for you is, do I grind the door edge and re-weld or something else.

Here you can see my passenger door which actually kinda overlaps.

And here is the drivers door which has a gap but not much.

The aftermarket 1/4s seem to have a problems with the door gaps. I hang my doors to the old panles before I cut them off so I know I have door gaps. Can you slide the door forward to get some gap? But you will have to grind and weld the gap to make a nice gap. Take your time its worth the time spent. I have a complete build of my camaro over on nasty z28 under the name project Siknss in project section. Your doing a great job nice work.

I had all gaps set pretty well before cutting anything off, they weren't perfect but close. I have doors, fenders, etc. still in place, I just can't seem to get the quarter to door gap back like it was before. They line up great around the back glass and trunk area. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to grind the doors to make them fit just wanted to check with the pros around here first.

I appreciate your response, I'll head over to nasty to check out your build right now.

Can you not slide everything forward? My understanding is these cars have the doors aligned to the quarters and then the fenders to the doors. So would sliding the doors and front clip forward help?

A little at best

Don't forget the glass has to fit in the opening
