Wow, that thing is amazing. I really like the Control Freak suspension... had I known about it years ago my Rambler would be done already.

Thought I'd post this update for Coloradoamx.

He had retired for a bit and took on a '70 Mark Donohue project for a guy in California. He then went back to work and still managed to turn this Duck into a Swan in about 6 months.

By request from the owner, it is a mild Resto/Mod Pro/Touring style car in the same color as Colorado's Silver Bullet and some elements of his car The Crush. It is lowered slightly with coilovers in front, Wilwood 4 wheels disc brakes, AGR quick ratio steering and a tweaked stock looking 390. ColoradoAMX does some amazing work at home with the exception of paint and bodywork. Wayne is meticulous in his approach which is not an easy task on an AMC. The owner is overjoyed!

70 Donohue Before

AFTER

ENGINE/ Stock look 390 AMC but well tweaked internals

HEADING HOME TO CALIFORNIA

Here's the ColoradoAMX Silver Bullet on a 2012 Car Quest Auto Parts Calendar.
Congratulations! It’s a Pro/Touring Resto/Mod style calendar!

Default Congratulations Again!

I got an email from ColoradoAMX from Barrett Jackson today and while he was at the Hemmings booth renewing his subscription to Muscle Machines and getting an advanced free copy, He suddenly realized HIS AMX will be in the March issue with 6 pages and he was floored! Made his weekend!

He sent photos from his phone

I love AMXs. A 1970 Shadow Mask any color is always on my short list.

Nice cars!

I agree. A '70 Shadow Mask 2 seater is one I want to build in a Pewter with a dark metallic Graphite Shadow Mask like this

Here's a little video of the Silver Bullet right after the first drive...

Thought I would update this post with a neat video I made regarding the build of this car.

Felt it should be made to the "Mission Impossible" Theme Song. Seemed appropriate
