I have been now reading a ton of threads on the installs and problems with all ther different setups.. g-bar -ridetech, g-link-alston , dse-quadralink ,, and im finding reports of chassis cracks , and mainly ride height adjustment.. this is where im at a loss.. it seems most guys cant get low enuf without comprimising the spring length? has any systems rectified these issues yet? I believe dse have the 'lowest' setup but more cost/work for an install.. my car sits low and i dont want to lose the stance it now has..and want an 'easy' install.. street driven only ,
did anyone figure this out?

Is this low enough?

How about this one?

Both these use 5.2" stroke rear shocks for full travel and articulation.

If you want really low you'll need air.

i would need to get lower than this.. is there a shorter shock on the market that will work? If i went air what other parts are added to the cost? does it become expensive i guess is what im asking

Are you wishing to go a lot lower height than my '69? I could adjust the rear lower (looks like close to 1/2 inch of lowering is possible), but I have 275's on the front and can't go much lower without the front tire rubbing the top of the fender at full lock. Thus I'm limited on the rear height to keep an even stance. At some point I might try some neg. camber on the front and see if I can lower the front some more. But I think it looks pretty good as is and I have enough clearance under the chassis to clear road obstacles.

maybe you can post up a pic of how the car is currently sitting to give us an idea of where you would like to end up?

Looks a lot like the red 69 to me.
You can lower the ride height of our AirBar by adjusting the coil spring down, but you will loose a little compression stroke (which is the most important as it is what keeps the car off the bumpstops).

By the looks of it you'll have no issue getting back to the ride height you have now.

How about this? Bret's car has our front clip and a gLink with airsprings at all four corners.

Getting your car lower than it now sits and still using coilovers is going to sacrifice a significant amount of driveability. Chevrolet decided how low your Camaro could sit in 1966. Getting a lower driving height is going to require modifying the driveshaft tunnel, floor, and frame rails. Read THIS DOCUMENT for an in depth explanation of this. It also covers the other concerns you mentioned.

On the other hand, if you want the car to sit super low, be driveable, and take it to the next level in performance we still have options. How about THIS SYSTEM?
