So, got a little more done. Couldn’t figure out how to patch the panel behind the rear seat so I cut it out and made a completely new panel. Name: IMG_1910.jpg

Originally made the panel
And added bead rolling, but it warped and didn’t fit any more. Never tried bead rolling before, so it was a learning opportunity. Name: IMG_2023.jpg

My Chevelle is old school... It has a belt driven power steering pump.
They're 17's, but I keep em clean!

I am still at it. Seems like every time, I think I am done with metal work, I see something else that needs completed.

Waiting on a Trans tunnel metal to be bent, and that should finish up every thing.

Time though is not always a friend.

Thanks for looking.

Bill

A little more work on Saturday. Garage time is always the best.
Got both trunk hinge supports welded back in. The trunk area seems to be complete. Trying to decide if I’m going to leave the jack and spare tire mounts on the floor.
Still waiting on metal for the trans tunnel. Hopefully it will be ready next week. Name: IMG_2092.jpg

Also finally made a couple of clamps for the weld table.

Default 70 Chevelle - My First Car

So a little more garage update. Got a new TIG machine but needed a place to put it. So now the plasma and TIG are on a tool box I already had. It needed all swivel castors on it and a way to hold a gas bottle. I made a frame out of 1” square tubing and got it all put together. Name: IMG_2115.jpg

Default 70 Chevelle - My First Car

Back to the Chevelle.
Searched for brake information in the brakes section of Lateral-g. Received some very good information about a company called BigBrakeUpgrade.
They were very helpful in getting information to me and walking me through the process of modifying Camaro brake backing plates to fit a 12-bolt GM rearend.
