Default I am a big

DTM fan and going to try and give it that twist. Once the tires and wheels are on, I am going to use foam and cardboard and see if I can get the look. May look like crap, but I will never know until I try.

If you can pull it off and make it "just barely street legal" for an occasional romp on public roads it would be neck snapper! Really looking forward to seeing where your vision and resourcefulness takes you on this one.

(PS - Please don't put two little white stripes on it.....LOL)

Default Thinking

more along the lines of a flat white vinyl wrap that I saw on 75% of the cars this year at SEMA...continuing to be original. May even go with a dark gold rim like the old school stuff. No Z stripes on this one.

Default Time to start cutting

You cannot have a full frame car with the floors and trunk in the way, unless you are The Roadster Shop. The plan is to cut out the offending metal, plate the inner rockers and slide the body over the frame.

I'm a big fan of jagged metal, and used parts. You know that cheap=fun in my book. Its funny how many guys(me included) got a case of the as$ after having a super shiny high end magazine car. Kinda took the fun out of it, plus the fact that 150mph blasts seem to take there toll on shiny cars.

As far as the thread name, from a guy who had Muttstang, or $5k budget Mustang, I feel people in glass houses, you know. Can't wait to see this come together.
