I got to see my first C6 Z06 at the Amelia Island Concourse d' Elegance 2005. Chevy was putting on a 50th anniversary of the small block chevy during the event. They brought a silver Z06 with the LS7 for display.

OMG! This car is amazing. It is the FIRST vette that has made my heart flutter since I saw my first C4 and first C5 (sorry guys, the standard C6 just doesn't do it for me).

The rear fender flares are WICKED cool and really remind me of the same look as the flares I put on my 69 Vette. In fact, the rear tires are basically the same ridiculous width on the new Z as I have on my Vette (335 30 18 vs. the 19" series on the Z).

Here is the really awesome news. They announced at the seminar the LS7 crate motor will be available in the coming weeks. The announcement is two weeks prior to the official press release.

They had a cut away of the LS7 on display as well. WOW! My guess is 500 hp is simply the tip of the iceberg for this machine.

$65K, but it would be up to the dealer what kind of mark up would be on it from there.

No mention of the LS7 crate motor price though.
