The best solution is to sell it to no one and let the auction go. Also I never agreed to sell it to "NY Brad", he made an offer and I told him the same thing "if you want the car, Bid. I can't single one guy out."

Please don't bash me or the cars and I'm not bashing anyone here. My wife and myself thought this was the only way to be fair.
It's a tough deal no doubt. Appreciate your honest and mature response.

Give the guy a break, business is business and if the guy wasn't the owner of the car then the verbal contract is void. Simple as that. As a bunch of business owners I thought people here would understand that. When buying and selling, you can't start taking things personally. And going around and spreading bad stuff about people just because of one transaction that your not happy with the outcome is not the way to gain strength and popularity and isn't very mature in my opinion. I think the whole deal should of been kept private, but hey thats just me. Anyway nothing is final until money exchanges hands. Face it, not everyone is made out of money, and some people can't just honor a deal just because its ethically correct, if there is more money on the plate most people will take the deal that includes more payout. I can't imagine doing verywell in life if you got mad everytime a deal fell through

Sorry, this is off the subject, but I was looking at the engine you are putting in your Bird. All I can say is, Wow!!! The video from Nelson Racing was very impressive.

Would you mind at all giving me a Ballpark idea what an engine like yours would cost to build?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing your car finished.

Take Care,

I do business deals everyday, so getting mad on one deal is not even in the picture. Having or not having money has nothing to do with sticking to your word or doing the right thing. There have been alot of times I have committed to sell a car and someone else wants it and offers more money or can pay right away, but I always stick to my word no matter what. I just explained my situation here because this site is about PT cars and if someone else was thinking about looking at this car, I want them to know what happened with my transaction, not trying to gain "strength"?

Heath sent me a very nice E-mail and explained his stiutation. I just wished he would have told me originally when he committed to me,that his wife had to make the final decision. Anyway everything is good, time to search for another project.

SW, I'm glad it ended somewhat OK. His loss, IMO.

My Dad told me when I was very young..."When a MAN gives his word, it's his bond"

He did not say "When a Man gives his word, it's his bond unless money is involved"

We can all agree to disagree here and go home, but some things just never go out of style.

Seems to me you have a built in market with 25 plus bidders. Go build the car again, sell them at the price you agree to and make a mint.
