Not my work, but that's aluminum and yes, a DA gives that finish. I usually use 120 of 220 depending on how much surface damage I'm trying to cover.

DSE always had a nice finish like that. I always assumed it was a sander(vibration) with some fine grit or steel wool pad attachment.

Does Matt have any other workers or is he a one man show? Does he paint the “rides” in-house or farm it out?
