Fairlane was taken to Holman Moody in 66 and had the SOHC 427 installed along with Nascar brakes, steering etc as a badass street car.

This is my favorite pic cause its mine! I just had it done pro-touring style with full suspension, brakes and a LS2/4L65E swap.
