So we have finally given Jake/Roy Rozelle 69 Camaro a nickname! "SCRAPPY" Yesterday we went to an event that Speed Ventures was having @ California Speedway on the Roval.. We were getting some practice & dialing in the car before the USCA event that will be held in June @ Fontana.. We found some simple setting that help us go from Auto-x to road coarse.. Jake is one hell of a driver & with time he will only get better.. He was fearless on the Roval.. We hit 151 mph! but had an incident with some oil leak that caused us to get the car off the track ASAP & put out the FIRE! This to date has been the most intense test session we have had..

That car is wicked fast. I'm the guy in the orange 71 Camaro.

Was kinda cool, Tom in his 67 the 69, and our 71 all together on track.

Will it be going to spring mountain on the 17th?

And also in the Speed Stop.. The road course he knocked down a 1.51!
Can you share more info og the cam? Was there anything else than just a cam?

Cris, you need to Machine some o-s**t bars for that car so you don't destroy the dash pads....and a fire system.

The cam info. is something that I do not share.. It is the same cam I use on Blu Balz.. I know that sum will think what is the big secret but it cost us some R&D to find the right combo that works for us in the LS7 for what we are doing.. The motor is just a basic LS7 crate motor with cam & works great.. But the motor will come out to change out to ARP fasteners, diamond hone, change pistons, & most important valves.. Stock LS7's are known for dropping valves..

Roger that. How about selling same cam?

I have same setup in my car and would be intrested of just cam and tune. Many cams ( like torquer ) require head work what i dont plan to do in near future.

As for dropping valves.. Is that really a risk? If so i really believe GM would done something to fix it.

PM me & will discuss the cam details..

Our cam is a torquer speced cam & we stick with stock heads.. Their is alot of opinions on engine/cam combos work the best.. We have found that 600 hp is where we like to be for our cars & it does not take much to get their..

let me clarify the GM dropping valves.. We ring our motors pretty steady to 7000 rpm.. & when you are racing the LS7 it is better to upgrade the exhaust valves on a side of procaution plus the tune will be key when you are running them hard.. I have two core LS7 that I have bought from GM pull outs with a cracked cylinder & broken piston.. Motors leaned out somewhere.. The third one was with upgraded valves & broke a valve on the exhaust..

The LS7 motor is my favorite of them all but expensive.. It is hard to buy one from GM & then throw more $$$ @ it so that you can prolong the life of it on the track.. Currently we looking @ different method of how we will get our LS7 track motors built..

I have customer that has requested something different from us.. A chrome moly Camaro sub-frame.. The goal is weight reduction which we have accomplished not only by using the thinner lighter material but by optimizing the design with less components.. This chassis has the same suspension geometry as the Challenger which we have proofed the prototype with many road course & Auto-x events.. Plus the Challenger has over 3000 street miles on it.. The install will happen soon & will share it then..
