As promised...
The fenders fit the door horribly to start and there was no further adjustment to move the fender in so the first thing I did on both sides of the car was remove the fender bracket that bolts in the jamb
Next thing I did was remove e coat to have a more visible look at the gap, then re installed the fender and this was what I got with just adjustments. So you can see the bracket was holding us up alot!! Gaps not great but something we could work with.

As you can se the bottom was not fitting the contour of the car at all so a little cutting and bending was needed and after some edge grinding and re welding its got a good gap. And the final task re install that bracket that held us up in the begining.
On the other side I had to do a little more work to the top of the fenders but you get the basics....
