I was just wondering if there was another reason (besides cost) that an iron block was used (considering all the carbon fiber parts are achieving the same result---high cost, but lower weight)....

Matt at Anvil does very nice work...

An aluminum block never came up when talking with KRE & TIP... they wanted to do something different and came up with the 440 with everything but the block being from the aftermarket... I think it's a killer engine combination and as well as everyone else who has been involved with the project, I'm thankful for their continued support of this build!!

Many parts were donated and many more were purchased thru discounts from the vendors who wanted to support the build. For that and for their involvement, generosity and support, I am truly thankful!! But, even with all the parts that were donated and discounted that doesn't mean that these builds are free and you simply have to draw the line somewhere.

Through it all, I've met some really great folks/friends... my hope is that all their generosity and support is repaid ten fold!!

V/R,
Ty

We're plugging along!! I've had to bring in a few people from a local bodyshop to help out and get this thing ready for paint on Friday!! WE are a little behind where I would like to be for paint... Still got to bodywork the driver's door and front fender. Then prime and wetsand entire car again!!! There's just not enough hours in the day for two folks, so I had to hire some guys part time!! We WILL put paint on it this weekend!!! It'll be a sleepless weekend for sure!!
