Is the reason you are not using flex joints at the beginning of the pipe that it’s a cast iron manifold and not headers? or have you learned they are not required? Thank you

We were planning to use flex joints but did not have room. I’ve never used them but never had an issue.

It is a cruiser and I don’t want a tail pipe rattle. In hindsight we should have notched the trunk floor like the other builds. This is the first car in 20 years I have not done that. Now I remember why we cut the trunk floor for exhaust clearnce for cars with a Quadra Link DSE rear suspension.

If it is a problem we will cut the trunk floor and redo the tail pipes.

nice work fitting that without notching the trunk. Looks too good to hide under the car. I gave up and notched the trunk and used the notched tank.
