Default HOK Lime Mist

The Camaro above is actually painted, Dodge Viper, Snakeskin Green.
The color of choice for me is, HOK (House of Kolor) Lime Mist. It was a limited edition color. I was about 2 weeks too late in getting the factory offering of this color, but luckily I found a paint supplier, that has the formula to make it for me.

Here's C10 Chevy truck that was painted in this color

I painted a test fender, to see if I liked the color, and I just fell in love with it!! Even today, when I open the garage, and see it there on the stand,it still blows me away.

I first primed the fender with HOK KD 3000 primer/sufacer

I then wet sanded it with 400 grit

As my paint guy suggested, instead of using a silver, gold, or white base, he said to use a tinted sealer, that's close to the paint color, so as to not have use as much of the expensive paint, to get the same coverage.

You are going to love that color! I do. I had my Harley painted snakeskin green 9 years ago, still don't regret it. My wife thought I was nuts, but I get a lot of compliments, and every time I do I give her a big smile.

I still turn my head at Vipers painted this color. I love the bright greens. I swear there is also a 69 Firebird that is painted this green out there, too. If my memory serves me correct, they also changed the front to a camaro.

Test painting models was a smart move.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks. I got a little too excited and had some runs in the clear coat, but it was just a test piece.

I think the Snakeskin green would have been cheaper to buy, but not sure. This might have a little more pop to it, maybe. I've never actually seen a Viper with the green, to judge it.

My wife wasn't sure about the color either, till I painted that fender. Now she's a fan!!

Thank you. I have never seen the Snakeskin green in person. Be cool to see if there's much of a difference between this green and the snakeskin.

I believe you're correct and the HoK Lime pops more. Would probably have to park the cars side by side to see a difference.
