Were close and they liked having an ME's opinion on their high end Mercedes (buying, service, etc), and I dont mind b/c I love cars. I'm really glad it didnt come to that b/c I still really want to see Anvil be successful. They provide a unique product for this hobby. Plus Manal has always been great to communicate with. Sounds like she still has a tough job; informing customers of one delay after another, if experiences were anything like mine? But it also sounds like Matt is doing everything he can to increase capacity. Kudos to you 2 for taking up the fight to keep Anvil alive!

Not sure if I'll be back or not after school. I just might switch to the darkside (imports). Gasp...........! Even though my wife wants to see me follow through on the 68 LOL. I've been thinking about posting the project up for sale as it. Good luck to all you guys waiting for parts. The wait is tough but you'll get it eventually. Nailing the quality aspect is even tougher for Anvil.

**edit** Also I just want to add that I created this post after catching wind of other enthusiast getting a 67-68 rear spoiler after I've been waiting for almost 2 years. Squeaky wheel gets the oil theory**edit**

I had one of these in the for sale forums for quite a while . Wish I would have seen this sooner as I could have sold it to you.

Have never heard of them. Can anyone vouch for them? They have 72 Chevelle doors and inner fenders.

I've seen their stuff, and it's nice. They also have hoods and deck lids for that 72' Chevelle, and overall great pricing.

Scott, honestly...I've tossed the idea of carbon fiber back and forth in my head for a few years. I don't want to waste money on something that won't fit and then lose 35-50% of my initial cost trying to sell it second hand. Also, when left exposed...carbon fiber gets sort of old and the sunlight beats on it after a few years, it starts to turn that yellowish/orangey/goldish color. Do you know what I'm talking about? Can anyone explain the discoloration and why it does that? But, for $2000 and up, I don't want to take that chance. If painted I get that it won't do it, but if I paint it and leave the stripes carbon...it'll discolor.

From what I understand the discoloration is from uv ....carbon needs a few / number of coats of clear to help combat this , as for the quality of ultra I can tell you I'm having custom chevelle fenders made and the company that is doing them told me in conversation that they have a very good quality part and the owner ,can't remember his name .....is a stand up guy.
P.s anyone wanting 70-72 chevelle fenders message me and I can speak with my carbon guy get him to do a small production run . The fenders are going on my 70 but I sent him brand new 71 fenders so no marker light holes.

Ryan, I know that you are aware of the differences in those two fenders, besides the marker lights. If they get made just like the 71's, your 70' headlight extensions won't work at all...two totally different fenders behind the extensions.
I'm no carbon expert, but I did have a chance while building mine (and I still do) to purchase an Anvil hood and decklid second hand for a grand, but the fitting right part scared me, and as Marcus said in his post above, I didn't want to mess with having to sell the stuff if they didn't fit...I just don't have time for that.
It seems like I've read about the UV issues breaking the product down, but if I went, or possibly go carbon, I'd personally paint it all. Maybe leave the underhood exposed, but I'd cover it all up top...Just my personal taste. I came very close to buying the carbon doors from Ultra. The price is super affordable, but I asked my self why, and kept my factory units.

I believe you get the doors just as they show on the site , now hinge bolt holes , window regulator holes, latch cut out seems definitely more of a drag car item. Not to mention when or if you get hit in a sideways fashion You will be pulling pieces of carbon out of your legs for quite some time or, pulling a James hinchcliff...yes I know it was a suspension part but was still a piece of carbon.
Now as to the fenders being different can anyone else confirm this is the first I've heard of the bezel mounts being different
....I've got a 70 and never paid much attention to 71-72

Default Anvil parts sourced from China

Anvil parts are INDEED sourced from China (see attached pic). Maybe that's why fitment and design isn't what it should be.

I've never heard anyone complain about how anvils stuff fits or the design ...just the delivery schedule so to say ...what they say and do are totally different things ....as I said before I ordered a hood to go with the trunk I already have ...I was told I would have it here in Canada my house they first week of April, I told them I want to prove to everyone that they are over their problems because I believe in the product they produce. I also ask that if it was going to be later then please email me. Well here it is the middle of may I haven't heard anything . Nobody but nobody can try to tell me they are so busy over there that they couldn't email me and apologize... hey Ryan that hood is back ordered but to make it up to you we will give you 25$ off the order ....or something to that effect . Once I get my hood I can almost promise I'll be done with them . I've got a custom carbon guy doing fenders and headlight extensions . Hell I might even get him to do a roof panel and quarters
