EBMC Firebird

Just wanted to let you guys know about one of our latest projects were doing for a customer. Its a 69 firebird with some sentimentel history for the owner Tim. Tim's grandmother was the original owner of this car and referred to it as "precious" for some 40 years. Tim got to drive it on rare occasions as a teenager (as you can see in one of the pics from the 80's) and when his grandmother passed away in 2009, he inherited it. He came to us with a pretty clear vision of what he wanted. He made it clear he didn't want to lose the look of the car as this is to be a tribute to his grandmother, but wanted a mild pro touring build. We have come up with a combo I think is going to acheive what he's after and would make grandma proud! when we dissasembled the car, it was clear this was probably one of the most solid original cars we have seen in some time. It had a couple of rust spots, but was all original down to the factory AM radio. We have put together a stroker 400 with Edelbrock heads and Fast fuel injection. Installing a TKO 600 and a narrowed 12 bolt with Pontiac style 18" Wheel Vintiques.A combination of SPC, Hotchkis, wilwood and Edelbrock will be used in the suspension dept.
