I think it's great that he's moving his business here! He'll pay rent to someone that will pay income taxes. He'll pay taxes. He'll employ people that will also pay taxes. He'll buy "stuff" that supports him personally and "stuff" for his business... THAT is how the world goes 'round...
As a businessman - he has a "right" to be worried about that business environment regardless of his nationality. He's running a business not a popularity contest. Taxes - the business clement - the economy and where it's going - are all worries regardless of where you're doing that business. Blake is making a MAJOR investment to move his business here. He'll also make a major investment in housing choices etc. That's a boost for OUR economy. I hope it works out for him and all his employees!

I have no problem with anyone coming to the the USA to create a better life. Note the use of 'create'. Blake, Rodger, Jay and the entire Speedtech crew are very hard working and respectable people. They have big hearts, care about the community and are giving on many levels. That is why they are my friends and that is the exact type of person I want to see move the the US and become apart of it.
People come to the United States for all kinds of reasons. Some stay only a few years, others a life time. There is much to offer here. If you come to the good ol US of A and plan to stay...become a one of us. If not, then don't stand around and tell me what I should or should not be doing or thankful for.

Greg,
You are 100% correct. I have supported Blake time and time again and I will continue to do so. I want to see him successful. However that does not give him or any other foreigner the right to tell me how 'good or bad' my country or way of life is. It's all a matter of perspective. We as American could be thinking that things totally suck, while someone from someplace else is thinking it's not to bad. I hear people in foreign countries saying that the U.S. should do this or that. What gives anyone that right to weigh in on something that they are not wiling to be become 100% of.
If you missed it....I am not saying this to just Blake. Again, he is my friend. I am saying this to anyone who wants to cut down or take cheap shots at my way of life had better be one of us. If not their opinion doesn't count.

Also, old people, it's time you stop being so greedy wanting things like health care, and 500$ a month to live off of that you were promised. If you just die already it'd be great for the deficit, and for my ability to buy an awesome gold plated speedboat!
The same goes for the parents sending their kids off to college who can now keep their kids on their health insurance. Your kid getting in a car accident without insurance is what we call JOB CREATION. Bill collectors, and bankruptcy attorneys, may end up on the streets unless you do your part!
Military families, I know you sacrifice a lot, you know risking your life through six or more tours of duty, including in a stupid ass war that the previous president started for no good reason, but really, retirement after 20 years? Time to stop getting a free ride off of the taxes I paid for my ferrari and get to work.
Let's have some perspective here people.

Listen, I very rarely get political, everyone is entitled to their opinion but my point is I honestly think the current administration makes it entirely too easy for people to collect handouts, I see people taking advantage of the disability system, welfare, unemployment and other govt. services constantly. Yes, of course there are people who honestly need these services and I feel for them, but cant stand the freeloaders who take advantage and use up the limited resources set aside for the people that really need them. The freeloaders had alot at stake to reelect this president so they can keep the gravy train coming.

I served this great country in uniform for over 25 years and was forced to retire due to defense budget cuts put into place by the current office. My health care IS NOT free (as promised) and never has been, in fact it's about to more than double and be higher than my current company's civilian coverage!
When I raised my right hand (all seven times) and solemnly swore to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic & bear true faith and allegiance to the same; I also swore to obey the orders of the President of the United States, whether I voted for him or not... and so help me God, I defended your right to the freedom of speech so that you could spout your parroted rhetoric on here.
Much like the ignorance that's prevailed, I see your comments for what they truly are... incitable, not insightful. Please take your comments above and post them somewhere where they would be better received. You have that right... and you're welcome!
I'm a proud, retired veteran, and I approved this message!

Seriously I'd like to know where you're getting this information.

I wasn't commenting about the validity of the war in afghanistan, the reason we're still there now is because of that whole iraq war which is what I was referring to.
As far as where I get my information, let's see, first hand knowledge? My 'free loader' dad gets retirement from the military, and served in vietnam. My 'free loader' sister gets survivorship benefits from her husband who was killed in Iraq. Many of his fellow soldiers are in afghanistan again, which is like their third deployment there, after at least 2 in Iraq. I'm not as familliar with pre-2006 deployments, but you can bet that the stryker brigades weren't just sitting on the sidelines.

What amazed me was the republican projection stats were so, so far off. Several of them were calling for a landslide victory for Romney. How in the world could they be that far off....

apparently the Pubs didn't show up to vote. Obama was down 7 million votes as compared to 08, but the Pubs were down about 1.5 million. That was a surprise, as I thought the Pub side was quite energized to vote. I have no idea how they actually dropped over 2008.

That's exactly right. I had no idea Blake was moving his business. Maybe I'll put in an application. Of course I don't think my wife "does" snow...............
