Subarus are certainly a challenge to get that kind of power out of... However, I do have some connections in that area though. So we shall see. I really enjoy driving the car, so I'd like to stick with it.

I had a chance to pick up my inner fenders after they were undercoated and painted. Also was able to get my parts back from the anodizing shop on Friday. This meant getting all of the accessories installed and mounting up the inner fenders and core support.

Ran into some issues with the power steering pump. That will have to wait until I get some spacers machined. I wasn't running the car with an accessory on the top drivers side before and therefore had no belt interference. Now that the alternator is going to be there, I need to move the ps pump further down. Luckily it looks like my KRC bracket can just be flipped and all will be good.

Nick,
Great progress on your Camaro! I guess we all lost touch once "that other PT site" pulled the plug on it's chat room.

Geno,

Thanks for the kind words. It really is a shame that we all lost touch with the demise of the chat room over there. I have been trying to get work done in between field assignments, however, I haven't had much time at home.

These are the latest pics:

As soon as I get home, I hope to plumb the fuel system and get my EFI installed!!!

Nick

William,

I stopped counting receipts long ago. I figure as long as I am happy with the result, at this point I am already so far in I just need to finish...

The Holley HP EFI was the latest in splurges. I figured I went out of my way to weld in O2 bungs on the headers and buy a tank setup for EFI that I should just go ahead and do the EFI too. The decision was largely based on not wanting to plumb the fuel system twice since the carb would have required a much larger return to use the in tank pump. This was after I modeled the new pickup with the larger return, had the pieces laser cut for it, etc. etc. So if anyone wants to run a carb with a Walbro 255 or similar using a DSE EFI tank, I have the parts you need

Phone pic of the HP EFI still in the box.

Thanks!

Inspired by the early SCCA Trans Am Camaros. Now only if I could swing a TRACO built small block to complete the look...
