I just read that thread.....I have a set of Pirelli P-Zero Assimetrico in 345-25-20 in the garage under my (in project) 69 right now...And they are up for sale now!!!!!

Man that thing sits right! Too bad they didn't stay there.

I agree with the general consensus here, which seems to be that rims look good if you can make them fit with a normal stance on the car. The 22's shown are a little bigger than I would personally do, but they look like they fit at least. If you have to destroy your ride's suspension geometry to fit wheels, you are going way too big IMHO.

sweet ride, this is my 69 convertable with 20x9 front and 22x13 rear intro wheels, with a 7 inch lip, mini tubed in the back.

I just sold my 69 project on wednesday and got home last night with a new project....a 63 000 miles, stored since 82, 1 paint job, 1 owner (protecto plate, original b-o sale etc) Survivor, Azure turquoise convertible 69 Camaro!

I sold the coupe and the jig it was on (with all the new sheetmetal i had) to a friend when i learned about the 'vert ( in about a heartbeat) and the 'vert is still on the trailer as we speak.

I kept my 345 25 20, 12 bolt, LS1, ETC...All the PT parts i had stacked up....

Now i was beginning to wonder if a convertible can accomodate that much rubber? I read somewhere that because of the top rack you we're somewhat limited....Doesn't look like you are!

Car looks awesome! Feel free to pm me, i'd really like to get some more pics of your car.

You'll all can see my new project in my new page soon if you'd like, i would appreciate comments on the deal i got.

now that the body work is already done, I wouldn't suggest this. But in order to make those wheels flow with the car, I would have suggested opening the wheel openings front and back, or if you wanted to move the wheels out, just back. But not now since that very nice looking paint and body work has already been done. Stepping down to 20s will give you a better ride in addition to making it look a little better, plus Deep dishes on that would really set it off. Right now it looks too big for the wheel openings.

i also like stuff like this, knowing its a show truck i understand he's trying to do something not to many ppl are doing. thats the way you win at shows, but if this was just for daily driving it is way over kill.
