Well after a good 30 hours or so of work. The bottom of the subframe is smoothed also. Completly welded entire factory seam, cut filler plates, weld them in, grind for a few days, weld and fix imperfections, grind a few more days, do that a couple times till you get it pretty close. I'll be putting it in primer this week to start the mock up. After car is mocked up it'll come back out, imperfections and stuff will be leaded then powder coated. Not to sure I'll ever do this again!!

Start by welding up factory seam!!

yep the whole seam!!

Fab up your filler plates and tack them in

Man I love those renderings. That car is going to look great. Nice job on the subframe too. Lots of work though.

yeah lots of work!! WE went back through the time cards on Shop beater, and it took only five hours longer to do quarters, roof, floor, and tail panel on the car. I have almost 44 hours in the subframe. About 3 hours were straightening dents in the lower portion of the main crossmember. Looking forward to getting it one color and seeing how it looks!!

Chad, looking great, were about in the same stage. Just went trough all the frame smoothing ourselves. The frame and underneath of the car is just about wrapped up. Were getting ready to fit the front sheetmetal this week. I'll post some pics probably this week or next weekend. Our builds are even more similar than I thought. I keep telling myself "never again" also. They should both be a couple of extremely nice cars when done, but GEEEEEZ!, it's never ending! Hoping for March on mine to. Detroit Autorama is in March and that's what were shooting for, but I'll have a better idea if that's a possibility once it's painted. Keep up the great work, looks awesome!

we have not even started body work!! We still have to mod the tubs for the 20x12 wheels and start mocking everything up! I got a lot ahead of me, but it'll all come together I hope!
