I am heading to the dealer after my ride to test drive one. The good news is I am in no hurry to buy one so right now I am trying to see whats out there and what people are doing with them.

This is their 3.5" lift... with the 35" tire. Check out their website.
Love the ride and the handing is great given the aggressive tires. It's quite - solid - and the Rubicon version I have has the front and rear lockers on a button and a sway bar disconnect on a button.... and the hill holder button works fantastically! I know nothing about off road stuff... but it was fun to do this trip -- and the Jeep worked just as advertised --- and I drove it home at 75 MPH when I was finished rock pounding off roading. Gotta love that!

Couple bikes hanging off the back and a cooler you and Gwen will be set!
Did you figure out the what for on the 33?
Dan
No Hemi - just the V6... and it proved to have plenty of power on my recent rock climbing. RIPP makes a hair dryer kit for it which puts down 350 HP to the rear wheels with 37" tires... which is more than the Hemi and costs less and can be installed in one day.
I never did figure out the '33 problem -- it's going back to Brizio's on my way to Thunderhill in October.
Friend of mine waited 5 months AFTER RIPP charged his Visa for the hairdryer to ship. He finally punted and put a hemi in his Jeep.
That was a couple of years ago, maybe they've got it figured out by now. Said the holdup was the tune.
Thanks for the input Lance! I'm not interested in doing any mods to this thing...but that was just thrown out there as a comparison. I mod my hot rods/track cars - not my new cars. They're just for driving.
Love the Jeep, getting ready to buy for my wife as well. She has a Commander and loves it it but is ready for something new and has always wanted a Jeep so off looking we go soon. Just not sure which one to get yet.

The standard Wrangler with the Rubicon package was really a nice driving rig.... This AEV version with the 3.5" lift and the 35" tires is more my speed - but I wouldn't want to drive it from here to Seattle (a 10 hour run). I drove it 60 miles up hi way 75 to RedFish Lodge and back today... These big tires and the 4:10 gears aren't what I'd want on a rig I had to drive on a long trip. But for rock crawlin' and dirt roads they're awesome. My house to the shed is not very far and not at high speed so it's fine.
