Car looks amazing! I almost went with a similar location for my coils but decided to change it for fear of throwing a serpentine belt and slicing the plug wires. I know it is rare to break a belt but...

I can understand your reason for not putting the coils in my location.. I was more worried about getting caught in a rain storm.. So, we built this covers to protect the coils from getting wet.. We need to paint them black..

Here is another pic of a shield we built for the oil lines on the side of the block plus it also keeps heat away from the wiring for the engine.. Take a look @ the bottom of the bellhousing.. It is a Mcleod.. I knew we were going to run the car low.. the lower portion of the bellhousing was the lowest point.. so we grabbed a stock f-body bell housing & a modified it look like the stock one.. Plus a notch for header clearence..

My machinist just brought the dash plate over to proof fitment..

This dash is going to lay out just right for function & sight!!
