Default Laguna

I have been running with the Pantera guys
at Pahrump, Firebird and Reno Fernly for the last
8 years. No mufflers-straight 4" pipes on the 180's and
lots of track time. Race group is only 8-10 cars so lots
of room to run. I had to have another set of mufflers
to run Thunderhill and Sears. Laguna-forget it now
Unless we can get any 105 days

They are supposed to be race tracks
Cali events are beginning to suck

It's really sad Bob -- because that track is in such a beautiful spot -- and is such a fun track to run!

My guess is it's some new neighbor that has brought all manor of lawsuits and finally managed to find some obscure FEDERAL regulation on noise….

Personally -- if that's what it is -- I'd like to drag said person out into the Monterey surf and down to the bottom of a kelp bed… and see if they like the quiet of Davey Jones locker. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Not really…. but I hate that kind of stuff. One guy can ruin it for everybody.

Well Brian has the rear off the Lotus --- and there's less damage than I had imagined…..

Ordered a header and new exhaust system for it… and trying to find the 5 element carbon fiber rear diffuser here in the US…

Then Terry McCarthy emailed me (his son is the, now 15 year old, that I let drive the Lotus and they're going to buy one and race it for this upcoming season)…. and we started chatting about Laguna Seca --- his exact comment --- "Laguna eats more cars than all the other tracks in California combined".

Good luck with that for the PT cars on street tires and big hp… and little seat time for many drivers…. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I'll post up pics of the carnage that Brain sent me as soon as I can figure out how to get them off my phone.

That's good news on the Lotus!

So how did the Mustang engine run after the repairs? Do you have any in car videos from the Mustang at Laguna Seca?

Check the ego and enjoy the track......especially in the morning sessions when the marine air lingers and the testosterone is flowing!

Open the pic, access the menu and forward via email to yourself........don't ask me why I know that.

Dale -- I rarely take any video… and didn't this time either.

The Mustang ran great and drove great! I did one session with too low tire pressure… not sure what I did -- but man was it wiggly down the straight into turn 1 and 2…

Next session I got the pressures right ---and Mary and David told me to hit the "Z" in Mazda on the bridge and then brake after the crest… That worked out GREAT!!

There was quite a bit of traffic and way too many off tracks and delays - especially for a one day event -- but I may never drive there again - so all is good!

Hell no!! There is irreplaceable damage - and the car will cost 10's of 1,000's to repair and maybe never ever be right again!

I can do the forward thing --- and I even know how to get there -- the problem is it will only forward as an "iMessage" and not email… and I want the pics in email.

Hopefully the iPhone 6 will fix that issue.

People that plan to run Laguna Seca would do well to watch this video of a Lotus 2 Eleven MANY TIMES…. his lines are impeccable…

Good luck trying to get anywhere near his 1:33.656 lap time though…

Watch it full screen and in 1080….

Here's another good video to watch if that race series is going to run Sonoma Raceway…

The BLUE 2 Eleven is for sale - with lots of extra parts - for $79K
