When building a hot rod, one must get a little inventive from time to time. Today was one of those times. I learned something interesting today, which I shall forever commit to my memory. In fact, with the beauty of a little invention called the internet, I can share my newfound knowledge with you. I suggest you guys also commit this to your memory, if for nothing more than the fact that this next story makes for some pretty entertaining imagery. When a car has a little home built rolling frame under it consisting of box iron and 6" roller wheels in place of a rear axle, putting in a subframe, even with a lift can be somewhat problematic.
Here is a list of necessary hardware which I have compiled for anyone attempting such a feat.
1 two post lift
1 engine hoist
2 rolling wheel cribs
1 standard floor jack
1 aluminum floor jack
1 2x4
2 jack stands
2 of Steve Rupp's 18x12 wheels
2+ idiots
2 creepers for idiots
Don't try this at home kids:
