61 Bel Air baby! one of these days when Pro Tour is considered an old fad it might see the light of day!

I'm getting ready to start a '61 Bel Air too. I'm just starting to work out the details, but it will be a Pro Touring set up. Hopefully done in '09, we'll see. I can't wait for Pro Touring to become an old fad, I'm already there!

Steve,
I love that car... I've loved it since I first saw it in Columbus in the parking lot of our hotel.

I call it more of a pro cruiser but I have a 71 mercury cougar xr7 convertible with a fi 5.0 and aod lowered, just purchased a procharger, 347 stroker kit aluminum heads, cobra intake and x-303 cam I will be building the motor this winter hopefuly installing it this spring I am also installing a 4 link with coil overs and Ron morris coil overs for the front and also 6 piston brembos for the front and a 8.8 with rear disc out of a 91 mark vii. Lots going on with it. I also recently picked up a 61 olds 88 bubbletop that i'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or let it go.

Thank you guys! This remains one of my favorites I've built. This was the owners first "hot rod". He drives the hell out of it too. We are looking into changing it a bit this year so the car doesnt get "stale" or "old".
