Seems like there might be a good market for someone to produce widened quarter panels for the 1st gen Camaros. I like the widened look better than just a traditional mini-tub, it looks more aggressive to me.

I am with Nine Ball. Sounds like a great idea. Anvil could do some CF fenders for up front with these mods to pair up with sheetmetal bulged quarters.

To All:

I think the time has FINALLY come for the Camaro to join the Mustangs with Trick Body Parts and Kits. They have had all this great stuff for years. The builders of 1st Generation Camaro's especially have done just about all the bells and whistles that are possible WITHOUT getting into the Body Modifications.

I am on board, and as the flared fenders and quarters come out, I WILL be a customer. This is one facet of the Pro Touring Cars that I have waited for the most.

The Firebird that was stretched and the overall look of the car, to me, look so bad ass it gives me the chills. Those are some of the characteristics that I have no problem buying for my car.

Just visually, I think they Scream Bad Ass and Awesome. Can you imagine how nice it would be pulling up to a ricer, with something that really did look, and sound the part of Vintage Breeding?

Make the Parts, I will buy!

Sincerely,

Ty O'Neal

there are carbon fibre quarterpanels available for rx7's NSX's .. supras and such, they are bond on, and if its done correctly it is as strong as a weld... so a flared quarter skin with outer-inner fender and some front fenders should be the ticket

I know guys look at glass stuff as kind of a cheap way out but with that much cutting and pasting you most likely are going to wind up with a large amount of bondo so fiberglass or carbon would be the way to go. Lighter and less chance of cracks in all those cut lines.

With new adhesives the 1/4 panels would be an easy bond on deal. Think of all the guys who want to do their cars at home and don't weld.

Good idea if done tasteful.
