Sooooo.....sitting around with to much time on my hands and I ended up with this, a 1951 Chevy 6100 long bed. Called on a Craigslist add that read "moving tomorrow, must go". I was surprised when the guy accepted my low ball offer. Jeff and I picked it up and currently I am putting a plan of attack together. Right meow, I am looking at swapping it over to an Chevy S10 frame and shortening the bed. Drop in a 5.3/4L60E combo, make it comfortable to drive and BAM! Laurie suggested making the engine compartment and interior look sick and then leave the outside looking pretty much as is. There's hope for her yet! One thing is for sure, no shiny paint on this one. It needs some love, but it has potential and I have the time. Once I get started, I'll give it a build thread of it's own.

My goal would to have it look something like this when completed. We shall see.

I was jaw dropped when she suggested that. It really caught me off guard. She was laying on the couch surfing the internet on her iPad (which is her standard M.O.) and out of nowhere comes that.
