On a similar test day with Red Devil we are 2 seconds a lap faster. Mayhem has so much power you can hear the tires spinning in 4th gear going down the back straight due to track being rough. I think we have hit my power limit for 200 treadwear tires on a 40 degree day...
Awesome Mark! Cannot wait to see you run OUSCI - it's going to be a blast!!
Adding a ZO6 line set that has a thermostate
in it.
I was going to suggest this but you're already on it. I've had the same problem with the in rad cooler and Kurt Urban hooked me up with the same set up.
The video is a little shaky. Mark said the tires were shaped like stop signs and made his vision a little blurry.
Although you can't hear it well in the video due to wind noise, the exhaust note at WOT is awesome!!
Gordon great photos and video. Thanks for the help at the track.
If you watch the video look at the braking zone going into turn three. (The second turn out of the pits) You can see what happens during a ABS fault. So if you are going test ABS leave yourself some room for trouble, or you could have a big off..... This is why I don't want to share my ABS system yet. I'm still working the bugs out of it.
If I'm still having issues it is not ready for other people to use. We found the problem and was a small wiring issue. But it is still startling.
That is what made the tires into stop signs. So my lap times were not great due to flat spotted tires. Down to the cords.
I ruined a set of tires in one day and burned 24 gallons of gas..... Priceless...
Mayhem is a bit of a handful to drive on a 40 degree day. You can hear the tires spinning a bit in 4th gear on the long straight due to the waves in the track.
It was a loose power wire so it was a random fault about halfway through the day. So that is why is startled me. I thought the ABS was sorted so the fault was very unexpected. Yes it was a wire I did not Ryan.
This is why we test these things.
By the end of the day we sorted a bunch of little things out.
