More progress last weekend.. Installed the full stainless grill. So much nicer than the factory chrome grill. Built the grill support to be over the grill versus factory the grill goes over the top of it. Much cleaner this way IMO. The holes next to the bump stops are for the hood pins. They're mounted in the hood and get pinned through the grill. Hood supports are done and installed as well. Really like the way the brightwork pops off this color. Front end is done!!

Also, had Chad Fellabaum @CCTEK making a cover for the end of the air cleaner. The last pics are of the 3D printed prototype he made. We wanted to mimic the angles on the valvecovers. Fits like a glove. Can't thank him enough!! Now to make the final product and finish it in black.

Onto the side glass and wrap up the wiring inside....

Well, this past Sunday was a monumental day for me - and the family. Took the 55 on it's maiden voyage. With a fair amount of idle time, due to my job and raising kids - this car has been in the works for 20 years come February. To say that I am overwhelmed with emotions seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is an understatement. Very please with the outcome. I still have a few minor things to do inside like stereo wires and cables to run - but aside from that it is ready for the interior shop - which it goes off to this month.

Did a full walk around video yesterday. I'll stick with my day job! LOL!

Here is walk around with it running. Very docile in comparison to what most are doing nowadays. 502 BBC w/ Pro Topline Heads, Isky Hydraulic Roller, Hogan Sheet Metal Intake, EFI, 4L80E, Big Stuff controller for both the motor and transmission. Made 620 hp and 602 on torque.

Wow that's fantastic. I went back to page and laughed, yup, 20 years. I think I might remember when this was a new thread that I liked to follow.

Here's wishing the juice is worth the squeeze !

I wonder if being done, your left with a hole in your life where worrying/planning/thinking about the car no longer occupies your head.

Well no matter this is a huge milestone congratulations !
