Likely. Harvest is in full swing. Mainly the whites though and pinot.

Last night was the Harvest moon (full moon in Sept). Was amazing this morning. They have crews working all night picking.

A lot of the cab and zin grapes won't be ready to pick for a few weeks. All depends on the weather. If harvest is wrapping up then crush will be in full swing which means many crush parties at the wineries. Great time of year here in the valley.

You coming to town?

Will be in Willows at Thunderhill October 11/14 -- so will be close. If Gwen was with me I'd shoot over for a drive thru the valley. But since I don't drink and she'll be in Prague or somewhere like that.. I probably won't. I'll have the "rig". But we'll leave it open cause it might be worth the trip "just because".

I found a really sweet shot of Sun Valley (ranked #4 for skiing ahead of Vail etc!!!) and someone needs to tell me how to shoot a shot like this -- the lighting is amazing! They got awesome reflections off the Big Wood River... and that takes patience!

Looks to me they used a tripod and a looong exposure at the very edge of dusk to capture that. I'm guessing the long exposure by the fact you can see some of the stars in the upper left corner, and what looks to be a road in the middle/right of the picture has "red lights".. ie.. someone(s) tail lights going through the shot during the shutter being open.

But, even knowing that, that's going to be a tough shot, just at the right time of day and year to get those colors.

Hopefully a real pro chimes in.........

I'm guessing it's a tripod and second plus exposure time. Not sure what the aperture setting would be, f8 or higher?

When all else fails, shoot it underexposed and enhance it with software.

I shoot pics at my sons soccer games each Saturday. Snagged this one just after a goal was made by my sons cousin. Kids caught in the act of celebrating is just priceless!

Default My Nova

Took my Nova to Sonoma Raceway for the Wednesday Night Drags. The cars best time was 10.45 @ 127. Not bad for a SBC!
