Same thing happened to me with the 94-96 Impala SS. I love the looks of those cars. Took many years before I got the chance to drive one. When I finally got the chance, I was so let down because the car is too big. Even an 6 foot tall, I'm too narrow to fit the car correctly as a driver. I can't even put my elbows on both arm rests at the same time comfortably. I fit in an F250 Super Duty more comfortably than I do the Impala SS. I still like the looks but I'll never own one. No sense in owning something you're uncomfortable in.

Gotta admit though, those were some sweet cars for that time frame. Honestly, I still want one in my collection. A buddy of mine has one that he bought brand, spankin new in 1995. He's upgraded it with an LS3 and a 6-speed automatic, big brakes, 3-piece 20" wheels and a host of other goodies. It is one bad car.

Here is a sneak peak of the Twin Turbo engine getting the basic layout for the exhaust plumbing. We are working with Kurt Urban Performance and Eric Turner for a bitchin twin throttle body water to air intercooled cross ram for the engine. The stock plastic manifold has to go.

We are starting the basic interior layout for the dash and front seats. We are going to use the Dakota Digital VHX cluster and just machine our own housing for the cluster to get the desired exterior look with their internal guts.

Marcus, I hear ya! Bill Goldberg used to be a neighbor of mine, and he had one at the time that would absolutely move! That car was quick.
Of course he's a big dude, and he fit the car pretty well, so I see what Trey is talking about also.

They are sweet cars...we blew up or old streetfighter racing an ls1/t56/vortech blown 95 Impala SS in Huntsville.

Worst part, was we drove the car there, instead of towing it...waited 6 hours for the truck/trailer

We have had quite a bit or progress on this project lately.

The headers and exhaust are getting built.

The new billet intake crossram has part files at the machine shop.

The cardboard template was had colored in house with every highlight on the premises to show the different parts and contrast.

The front and rear ride height are being fully defined to the new owners liking.

We are setting up the rear axle with for the full floater housing ends to allow the brake calipers to clear the chassis main rails at this low of a ride height. And who has 21" mock up wheels? I wish I did.

Bob Braga was in So Cal and stopped by to take some pictures for some parts he is working on for this project. It will be cool.
