Rick,

From my experience, I'm pretty sure Tom won't be able to give you an STL file. STL files are usually made using spline-based models and the model Tom is building is polygonal. Of course, I can't speak 100% for Tom, but I'm pretty sure he'll agree.

I've run into this problem with my models too. I am confident that it's only a matter of time until polygonal models can be turned into machineable files.

Tom's work is definitely on the level with some nice CAD work.

hi, thanks for the comments

i have managed to convert a max file to stl using Deep Exploration, but reading what Kris has written i am not sure if it will even work, i have never tried it myself.

but if you want i could quickly make something and convert it over to an stl files, so it can be tested.

If you can output an STL I'll check its integrety for you, make a small file of the transmision or something, if it works I can post pictures of the solid 3d model, this is cool stuff, you can send the file to me at work

slow week

but i got around to finish something today. the Hydratech Braking Hydroboost system, now it just needs some brakes lol





also some random render
this one i have re-worked the front fender a bit i dont think u can tell tho

thanks for the comment,

yeah something does look werid with the roof but i cant put my finger on wat it is tho.

anyway i have been totaly re-working the front end, manly the fenders, just gotto re-do the grill and it will be back where it was

hi all time for some new renders

so the new stuff is basicly the turbo set up, steering column, and the mastercylinder, also started work on the firewall, but havent finished it yet

Looks awesome! I realy admire your skills! What programe are you using? I'v got Auto Cad 2006 but i cant instal it... Well Keep up your awesome work.
