I can't sell that chassis half welded. If it's welded it has to be done all at one time to control heat and warpage.

I looked at the chassis at the Scottsdale Goodguys last weekend -- it is truly a work of art!

How many hours does it take a professional welder to weld one of these up?

Don

This first one was about 115 hours for welding and sanding. We did a bunch of work to get the hour cut down even before we cut a single piece on the laser. I have been charging 100 hours for welding and sanding these frames up to now for the frames we have sold. These Chevelle frames have alot of interlocking parts and formed pieces that really cut down on what it could be, if it was all flat plate. Obviously the chevelle chassis is much more complex then the Tri-5 unit. These first 2 frames are all ready sold. We are currently changing the design on some small parts and getting ready to build 5 more.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm really happy with the results, wait till you see the ride height.
