I replaced the one on my 96 Formula with a solid puck. Steering was more responsive and the vibrations through the steering wheel were minimal.
New shaft looks great. Glad to hear it made a difference for driving enjoyment.
Thanks Trey, it definitely cleaned up well and the paint turned out really good. Even though I cleaned it up and refinished it while I had it all removed, I plan on switching out the steering shaft for a Borgeson over the winter.

Did some work on the engine and engine bay. While it’s not an LS motor and I still have the original throttle body injection 305, it’s a solid engine and with everything else I’ve done, it’s a solid cruiser for me to put a grin on my face every time I go for a drive. I just installed an Edelbrock intake to finally compliment the other bolt-ons I’ve done to the engine. I also added an injector pod spacer and did some TBI mods for better airflow. Someday there will eventually be an engine transplant, but in the meantime I work with what I have and have fun tweaking an engine most want nothing to do with. There is some challenge in knowing it’s an oddball and not the norm.
Throttle and manifold reinstalled and wiring harnesses cleaned up and wrapped in new wiring loom.
Installing the new Powermaster alternator.

Other than age, the Camaro was completely unmolested when I bought it for $1500 back in 2005…more to come. Next up…stainless steel headers and y-pipe.
