Spal seems to make a few different 13" fans. Do you know the amp draw?

I think one controller will do it. There will be no spike at start up, because of the PWM activation. The C6 fan is rated at 400 watts, which at your 13.5v comes out to just under 30amps. Also keep in mind that the fan controller max speed is 90% duty cycle, although I don't know what that means for amp draw at max speed.

You can always install a single controller and wire it to a single fan and see what the draw is at 90% duty cycle. I bet it'll be less that 15 amps, in which case two fans should be fine.

Looks good, Tony. Keep at it and you'll get there eventually.

FWIW, there are a couple of threads on LS1tech that mention a Chrysler PWM controller. They are less expensive than the C6 controller and they seem to work the same way. Might look into that and run 2 of them.

The C6 controllers are about $100 from Amazon.

thanks Andrew....i'm convinced. ordered the C6 controller, got a spot ready to mount it. Now i'm trying to source the connector, i think I saw some info on the connector on an earlier post..

Really appreciate the heads, probably a 100% better going with the PWM.

Glad to help.

Scot might have more connectors:

This is another reason why I used the C6 fan. They come with the connector and my Dorman fan was somehow only 80 bucks on Amazon.

For the fan connection I used the Metripack series 480 connectors. I have all the parts you need, if you are interested.
