As you know things have kinda changed and now I can through more boost at it. They set the ProCharger up for the 'original plan' so I will have to see what pulley is going to get me where I want to be in the end. I wouldn't mind making a little more power...but I want the car drivable. Time will tell!
Oh I do know how things change. Man you should have no problemo hitting that modest hp goal with your setup. You can still pulley up to achieve approx 15psi with the P1SC or close to it I believe? Should be a nice machine. How much is the LT1 block purported to be good for horsepower-wise?

Cam specs handy? Head flow #s?

Nothing is handy right now....my feet are on the desk!

I have no worries....Jody was aiming for way more power with the TT LT1 build. Since Mike worked his magic on the block, it is now a splayed 4-bolt, we went with all forged internals, ARP fasteners, a real blower cam, and Comp valve train the only thing holding it back is the stock unported heads...they may get worked over down the road. But for now I have what I have and it has to work!

Feet on the desk? Hey, it is Saturday night I guess. Don't work too hard.

Well it sounds like a stout foundation, but I am a bit surprised you are not touching the heads... here is what I quick found on the stock LT-1 heads so not sure if it is 100% accurate:

the LT1 cylinder head has a 54.0cc combustion chamber 1.94/1.50 valves w/170cc Intake Port volume. The LT4 has a 54.4cc combustion chamer 2.00/1.55 Valves w/195cc Intake Port volume. LT1 heads flow about 212 CFM.

Man, that seems to be a serious restriction in your motor. I am still quite sure you will produce tons of power, but a simple port/polish job on that for $1000 give or take could probably be worth 80-100hp I would think. Those stock flow #s are pretty anemic.

Heads are pretty easy to remove and have work done to especially when compared to the level of car you are building at this point eh?

Just trying to make things harder for you buddy!

You are correct! But sadly I don't have the $1k for head work right now. My long term plan is to buy some donor heads as they can be had cheep and have them worked over...to the max! Then during the non-driving season swap them out. If I choose to do it right now the car will never get finished!

Yeah I hear ya. I wish I could pony up a little extra coin right now and do a bulletproof block. We all have to compromise at some point on something right?

Hey, the car will be badass and can always be made better. Nuff said.

I'm only running about 10psi now, but this motor and block have seen 14psi when it hit 700rwhp when previously dyno'ed.

I'd really love to crank it up to 20psi.
The 383 with D1SC we did in "Rogue Status" @ 14 psi was putting down mid/upper 550 rwhp on our Dyno Jet. Non intercooled. He had some lame run flats on there... so the tires would blow off around 5800 rpm's... so we never got a good full pass. That was on pump gas. Timing was at 32 total. It uses Dart heads (can't remember witch one) and all forged internals.

Actually.. its coming back and we are selling the motor if you know any one.
He wants a stock LS7 or something in it now.

Thanks for understanding!! I'm focused on the things that can't be changed down the road. Heads aren't on that list so we will get to them later.

Enough about my car..............

Everyone wants a damn LSx these days... One reason I liked the idea of going gen 1 with the boxy Stealth Ram intake. I just think it looks tough.

D1SC 383 is a nice setup and you probably have a block that can take a lot more power than my 400.

Yeah man, one thing I have started to realize lately is that even though I am driving it (occasionally) and tuning it as we go, we can just keep adding and upgrading and tweaking as we go.... sure, it does cost more money and adds to the endless pit of money being spent, but getting it drivable and able to be enjoyed and shared with friends has been huge these recent weeks and that is what this whole was about when started some light years ago.

Yeah, enough about your car.. this is my thread.
