I just hope we got it back together in time for the Buttonwillow weekend!

I think I will call this sideways progress?
More like, (Dave's voice) "Hey Rich, while we're changing out the tranny and modding the clutch, why don't we tear out the interior, dash, do some wiring, put some of that noise/heat sticky stuff in cause you know how comfy I like to be at the track and, oh yeah got any spare aluminum laying around you could trim up for those X brace thingys near the back seats? I'm off to get some beer and I'll be back in the morning. Think you'll have it done?"

(just teasing Bro!)

I like your new "shifter" beer bottle design.
Rich only drinks Bud Light... if it were me, it'd be a nice Belgian or hoppier ale.

Ya know, you'd normally be sorta right on that, but in this case I actually did most of the "demo" myself... I mean, it's a lot easier to knock something down than build it up right?

A good way to learn how something gets installed or goes together is to take it apart I hear. We'll see when it's time to put it back in... or leave it out in this case as part of our "race weight" strategic plan.

Tell me about it... flavored water..... but I don't think Rich, or anyone, would be very productive after 15 of the beers I like to drink.

Default update

We made some progress on the various projects to get ready for Buttonwillow next month. I wish I could just leave the shift rods exposed.

Uh your last update wasn't showing how you put in sound deadener was it? Hopefully that was already there. Otherwise, I can speak from experience that doing things twice isn't the ideal way

Lotsa of little things going on right now with the car, but I am focused on getting the big stuff done so we can make Buttonwillow!!

Well I had another inspiring day watching the Trans Am series run at Monterey Historics yesterday at Laguna Seca. Cannot believe I've never gone to that before and it's right here within 2 hours of me. Will be an annual event moving forward for sure.

Got many more ideas and function/form cues from these cars that I will be incorporating. The beauty of these cars to me is that they are so darn simple yet effective and proven. Add some newer technology and I think you've got a great combo.

I shoulda brought my GoPro and took some vid, but this iphone vid captures the sound nicely I think.
