In honor of rifle deer season opening up this weekend, I share these pictures captured by Mrs SSLance from our back deck last Friday evening

The next morning another picture perfect setting...

Camera she's using is a Sony HX100v, basically a 30x zoom, 16 mp, point-n-shoot. Very user friendly camera with the ability to reach out pretty far and grab some excellent shots.

Was looking back through the thread and saw the wine country pics, reminded me of a few we took while out there first weekend in Sept.

Just to show the capabilities of my little point and shoot...

We handed the camera off to a stranger to take this picture of our group on the trail in the park between Fort Mason and Fisherman's wharf, with Alcatraz in the background.

I then turned around and took this picture of Alcatraz from the same spot freehand...
