I would think as the builder of the Baddest mini truck on the planet you would know the difference between a mud tire and an all season tire.

These tires are clearly "ALL SEASON".

Hay Kenny, when it's your turn to use that one internet connection again in your town at the local library remember this. When you start a new sentence you press that key on the bottom left or right labeled "Shift" and it will make capital letters. I'm really proud of you, Hook on Phonic does work. The only thing you misspelled was my name, but in your defense I do spell it all California like..... As you might say. In Arkansas the less letters the better.

man don't pick on a guy for his spelling when you made a grammar error. I highlighted it for you just in case you missed it.

I forgot all about the magazine cover last month. Pretty cool.

This shot was taken at the local airport, we ran up and down the run way with a camera guy strapped to the roof and my Big Buddy Jimmy driving the big rig. Frank the owner of both trucks had to get out as having both of those trucks that close together at 55mph next to the big rig bothered him a bit.

I assured him it was just like Saturday night at the dirt track. He asked if I had seen my car after one night at the dirt track? Because the comment made him even more nervous.

Time for an update on some of the other stuff going on at Ironworks lately.

We are getting some pics back from some big time builders who were able to get in on our switch line and reserved some of the prototype switches we had. Eric Peratt of Pinkee's Rod Shop used the switches in a project he was just finishing. They looked really nice in a simple console he made for the interior.

You can still take advantage of our pre-order sale on our website. We got tracking numbers for the 1000 switches bases that we ordered about 5 weeks ago yesterday. So once we begin shipping the switches the pre-order sale will be over. This sale has been a huge success.

We have been busy with a custom tube chassis we built for a local guy with his 1956 Chevy truck. Who says Pro-Street is dead?

Here is another pretty bitchin Truck for another Local guy. The owner of this project also has a 2nd Gen camaro being built in LA with a Twin turbo Nelson engine....... YEAH that one. Well he stumbled on to my shop by chance having no idea the level of work we do. Well he has this 65 Chevrolet truck that he had been attempting to put together in his spare time. It has a carbed LSX-454 with a paddle shifted 6 speed, HRE wheels, and a Meyer frame. The owner had a really good head start but just no time to work on it himself.

So he asked us to take over the project and knock it out for him. Well after accessing the parts and pieces he had gathered and putting them together in a rough mock up we came up with a truck that sits much too high for our taste and it was decided that with some work we could make this truck sit like it should. Some where the customer got some 375 width Pirelli tires for a 21" HRE wheel.

The plans for the project include - Completely reworking the front and rear suspension to get the ride height and suspension geometry we want and need to handle this kind of horsepower. We will also be narrowing up the trackwidth and changing the shock mounts as this chassis need 600 lbs springs to hold up the car with the motion ration that the front suspension has. And the shock mounts are in a totally wrong spot to even get the control arms to a decent geometry range. The rear suspension will go to a 4 bar that has an actual instant center so we can have some weight transfer and adjust the forward bite in the car. We will also be building a bigger C-notch into the chassis to achieve this ride height and lowering the panhard bar.

Sheetmetal mods include installing a double hump dash from an earlier truck. Installing an AutoRad Coresupport and radiator system. The inner fenders will need quite a bit of work to accomplish this ride height but I think we have a solid plan to accomplish this. But just make it a clean and simple driver.

It should be a pretty fun project.

We are also working on getting the 33 Ford wrapped up to go to paint. I have always hated the front windows on the fiberglass 33-34 Fords. They just flush fit the glass and it just looks dumb. So I bought a repo front windshield frame through Pete & Jakes that we mocked up in the car and did some work to make it fit proper. But now we have a swing out window frame.

The car is going to Charlie Huttons color studio in August for some color.
