Ten years into this build now. I know - I’m not fast.

I put this together myself as a daily driver to get better than 30 mpg. Same paint I bought it with but everything else is upgraded.

Would love to learn more about that powertrain! Wicked interesting and very nice car! That is an awesome example of how to go green!

Thanks. I got the engine, transmission, wiring harness and ECM from a 2013 Camaro with only 525 miles on it. It’s rated 325 HP and is all aluminum so pretty light. The Camaro was rated for almost 30 mpg on the freeway so I thought if I stayed light I could maybe get 35. I came in a 3,260 lbs with a full tank but so far I’m averaging 28-32 mpg. I did get do one all out max mpg run, driving like there was an egg on the throttle pedal, coasting, etc and got just under 40 but it wasn’t fun
I’ve got full Hotchkis suspension front and rear, Wilwood discs on all 4 corners and a 12.1 steering box so it drives fantastic.

Wow, is this car awesome !!!
I was just going to ask about the motor but someone else beat me to it. Very cool indeed and I love that it is a v6 and that you drive and it sounds like you drive it a lot.

I do drive it a lot. Everyday usually. It’s currently apart as I’m chasing an annoying rattle in the dash but that shouldn’t take long.
I’m also going to swap to a 9” Ford rearend with posi. I took it to the Wednesday Night Drags near me and it was traction plagued to the point of embarrassment.
Plus, dam Tesla’s are quick. There were a number of them there running low 10s.

Holy Cow, Low 10's in a Tesla. I didn't know they were that fast.
