Well it's finally home.

It left the shop Christmas eve.

Here is a short video of me driving it out...

I have a small number of things to complete. The tunnel ram and twin carbs need to be installed (and new bonnet) had to wait till post rego. Also need to get the front down a bit but collectors too close to ground so may need to do something there.

Now time to hit the road for some summer fun

Please, could you tell me the 0-60mph times you run on the STREET with the streettires?

I am not familar with quartermile times.

I am building a TT540 in an 68 Impala with 20" is Rims in the rear.
Around 1000hp on low boost is what I am after.

I go with a Jake´s Rod Shop full perimeter frame and due to this frame I am able to get any width of tires the rear of the car but everybody things I will have only problems wenn accelerating.

I go with an all aluminum BBC that is moved as far back to the firewall as possible,
with a rear mounted radiator,
a fiberglass hood,
and a very good rear end suspension with shockwaves instead of coilovers to get a softer ride for better weight transfer.

Everything heavy like battery, soundsystem and so on will go in the cars back.

You see I will do anything that is possible to get forward bite.

The car will have 1700 - 1800 kg, what 0-60mph times will I see for your opinion?

Thanks Hannes

I haven't timed any 0-60MPH yet as only has 300 K's on the car and haven't really put my foot into it that hard yet, but will do over the next week or so and let you know....

My car weighs 1660 Kg with a full tank and me in it

Wow, that is really a low weight

I look forward to hear about your experience with the bug sucker.

I hope I can run big power since it has been said more then 600HP is not possible in a street car (I really dont hope so....)

Exactly the look I want. What was the final wheel and tire sizes front and back? I'm loving that look man. I just picked up a 67 last week and have been searching trying to find the look and you nailed it.
