I picked up my parts this past Friday; now the fun begins. I filed the rings to fit and should hopefully get the shortblock assembled this week. Here are the pics:

I guess I'm long over due for an update. Progress has been slow, I sort of got sidetracked on another deal. The block is mostly together and painted. I'm just waiting on the manifold, it's at the machine shop. It needs some material removed to fit due to the block decking and head resurfacing. The heads got a little more work than I originally intended. In addition to resurfacing, the ports and chambers were cleaned up, new springs installed, and the vlave job was touched up.

Here are some pics:

very cool! It's looking good. How much power are you expecting with this?

Thanks I'm hoping that I'll be in the 500hp range with the combo. I would really like to run it on a dyno to find out, but I'm not sure if anyone around here has one. I used the examples in the back of Jim Hand's book to help put it together. It's not exactly the same, but I picked one of the combos and went with it. The main difference is the cam, I went with a solid cam from PPR
