Okay... so in conforming to the lastest trend, I need/want to come up with a name for my '70 Barracuda project. I'm hoping it will help me stay motivated..

So any idea ????.... Sick Fish is taken

Could it be just ..... Project 70 Barracuda ?? Plain and simple

How about Cimolichtys.

Quote:
Cimolichtys (sim-o-lick-tees) is in a close race with Gillicus for the most common fish found in the Kansas chalk. It is represented by several species, each having multiple jaws containing numerous rows of various-sized sharp teeth. Cimolichtys resembles a modern barracuda and was a fierce predator of smaller fishes.

imho it is hard to top mopars name for the car "baracuda" but what do you want to say with the new name??

a car called : "predator, kill-fish, testosterone, or whatever" sounds cool but is that why you want the name?? to sound cool... im my view that kind of names are better suited for a tractorpuller or monstertruck

names like bottomdweller might not sound as cool but have a justification on lowered cuda... as does names like fugu/blowfish on a supercharged one..

even better is a name that has a personal or a double meaning.. but without knowing you it is hard...

rightnow it seems like project "no-name" would be a winner

man why do you guys ALWAYS come out of the woodwork when its a name thread..

dude asked for a name.. i gave a few.

not.. hey man call it CAR.

if thats the case why is your screenname deuce 454?

why isnt it whatever your real name is or.. MAN.

you take names because you like them.. he likes them.. some folks in the scene like them.. thats it.

besides technically a fully custom ride isnt what it was when it rolled out of the factory.. so.. "whatever" doesnt fully apply does it?

Forget about using any form of the factory name (make, model) and just give it a name that means something to you.

I did a blue Nova digital art chop and named the car "Blue Boy"
You could name it after a super hero or Greek god.

I did a blue GTX and called it Odin

Just my 2 cents

well guess what engine is in my 32 Hiboy? you figure it out....

and what do you mean by "you guys" and woodwork.. ??

besides i think you misunderstood me...(perhaps its because english isnt my native tounge), my question was actually deeper than "dude why you wanna name a car that allready has one?" i wanted to know somthing about what the car meant to him, while airing my oppinion on calling a car somthing just for cool´s sake....

i think asaenz put it in a way that didnt trigger you in the same way..

and while i thank you for your short explanation of the reasons for naming a car, you could, if you checked the woodwork of my previous threads see that i also named my project...

and allow me just one smart ass reply that i just couldnt help but make since you brought up the subject of screen name choice... " i guess you just demonstrated why you chose to call yourself: Venomous Type"

(just to be on the safe side id better put it in writing sooner rather than later that no insult was intended, just needed to blow off alittle steam as did you apparrantly...)
