So did Kenny end up using the modified carbon piece as a template for fabbing it in steel? I only ask because it doesn't look like there was any carbon left other than the base plate...

Looks great, love the approach you're taking with this one!

He actually just used the drop base from the original air cleaner assembly.

Dang Marty, that was a ton of money for those two pieces to chop up! But, the outcome is killer! Fair warning, this idea may find it's way onto a C-10! Credit will be given where due, if it happens! This thing is turning out awesome. Can't wait to see it in Columbus next year!

Chad I couldn't agree with you more it was a bunch of money just to cut it up. But the end product was well worth it.

Tomorrow I should have pictures of it painted.
