That's a good idea, maybe I should start looking around for a job at an interior shop.
I am off 35 in between Alvin and Angleton, in a little town called Danbury.

That's cool, we only live a few miles away..

Anyway the guy said what caused the transmission to fail was that the crank is moving back and forth and it's messing up the inside of the tranny. He also said the outer tie rod on the left side is dangerously close to failing, if I would have taken it up to 75mph or so it would fail and pretty much kill me and anyone who gets in my way.

Sorry to hear that; sound like you've got some work to do. Just keep doing what you're doing, it'll get there

I took the car to school today to change the outer tie rods and we put the car on the lift. My teacher was seeing how much play was in it and it FELL OUT.

Man, that was the worst feeling in the world, I was about to throw up. It sucks knowing that like another quarter mile and I would have wrecked my car. My friend didn't have his seat belts on and I had the T-Tops out. So at 50 mph, man.. My teacher and the transmission guy both said the whole left side would have probably been torn off the car and would have most likely flipped.

I was kinda choked up and I almost wanted to cry. I had that sick feeling all morning and couldn't eat breakfast, but watching that tie

Trey, play in the crank can be caused by worn out thrust (main) bearings in the engine. Not all that uncommon. Glad you got the front end looked at. Time to check the other major system (brakes, lines, etc).

The brakes were the first thing we did, all new rotors, pads, master and calipers. The car stops on a dime, never driven a car that stopped like this sucker does.

Here is a sneak peak of the buff job. I still need to wash it and wax it. We are putting the decals on tomorrow.
