what kinda sheet metal do you use for the hood, if you do not mind me asking.

Just 19 gauge cold rolled.Seeing as this was an original hood the metal was pretty good to work,not like the metal in repro hoods.

Hood hinges.... I assume those are XV's.... I havent seen anyone else make them.... any comments on the quality?

Yes XV's, they are a ordinary,they rub in a few places on the arms so I will have to address that issue sooner or later,but to be fair they were some of their first, hopefully they may be better now,Im at a loss as to why the other hinge manufacturers hav'nt done them.I for one would have liked a more better looking hinge for this car.
